The morning of Thursday April 15, 2021 our beloved Alve Maria Carrasquillo was called home to the Lord. She was born to the late Mildred Lunon and Luis Carrasquillo Sr. She went home to join her late brother Jerry Chestine. She was survived by her brothers Luis, Rico, and Manuel. She was well-loved by her nephews Jey, Jonathan, Curtis, and Dwayne; her nieces Angela, Mariella, Lareeder, Colette; her grandchildren La'tone, Emaijah, Nafis, Jerry, Dwayne, Nadirah, Makiyah, Naasir, and Quadir; special friends Deynice, Carlos, and Andre along with a host of friends.

She attended Philadelphia Public School and received a degree in Culinary Arts at Temple University. She loved to dance and cook and had no problem telling you that your food is nasty. She cherished her nephews, nieces, and grandchildren like they were her own.
