IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Annell Nancy
Belfield
May 30, 1965 – June 14, 2021
Annell Nancy Belfield, one of three daughters born to Annell Evelyn Williams and Gene WIlliams, was born on May 30, 1965, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She entered into her eternal rest on Monday, June 14, 2021.
Annell received her formal academic education within the School District of Philadelphia. In 1983, she graduated from Northeast High School and attended The University of Maryland Eastern Shore as a freshman. She later completed her associate's degree in General Studies at Community College of Philadelphia.
Annell worked in retail and later in education. She was general manager for Claire's and an assistant manager for The Gap in the 90s. Her love for children and education led her to become a teacher at Cathedral of Love Preschool & Academy and at Excel Plus Academy. She also served as the camp director for Oaktree Summer Camp at Spirit and Truth Worship Tabernacle Cathedral. In recent years, Annell was an active PTA member for the Willingboro School District, serving as secretary for the Willingboro chapter.
Annell was a natural creative, who loved bright colors and working with her hands. She was a self-taught baker with an entrepreneurial spirit. She loved to cook and she enjoyed hosting friends and family in her home, no matter the occasion. At the heart of her home was her kitchen and dining room, where her exuberant laughter could be heard as she shared conversation, life-lessons, and The Gospel with guests.
On July 20th, 1996, Annell was united in marriage to WIlliam Lee Belfield. From this union four girls were born: Vaniah, Olivia, Azariah and Victoria-Gabrielle. She was extremely devoted to her family, she honored her husband, and she loved her daughters and one and only grandson, Christian.
Annell's journey with the Lord began at a young age. After the loss of her mother, she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ with hopes of seeing her mother again. She received salvation at Resurrection Community Church, where she began to seek a personal relationship with Jesus. It was during that time that she developed a hunger and thirst for the Word and faith in God. Her faith in Christ became the foundation and anchor of her life. Above all, she desired to be His vessel, full of His Spirit and being poured out so that others would also know of His great love and salvation.
Annell joined Spirit and Truth Worship Tabernacle in 1993, shortly after meeting the love of her life, William. She was a faithful and committed member of her local church. She was a part of many ministries including the Praise Dance Team, the Intercessory Prayer Team, Vacation Bible School, Oaktree Day Camp, Excel Plus Academy, Mother's Kitchen, and Precious Jewels Women's Ministry. She was also a part of the Adjutant Ministry, taking care of the church's leaders. She lived a life of service both within and beyond her local church and she did it ever so graciously and always with a smile.
Annell or "Nancy" as she was affectionately called, was loved, admired and respected by all who knew her. She loved people and because Christ's life and love flowed through her, she left an indelible mark on every soul that she met. Whether she knew you for twenty minutes or twenty years, she made every effort to love you. She was a giver, ready to share whatever she had, whether it was her freshly baked cookies, her home and warm hospitality at a moment's notice, an uplifting conversation, or a word of encouragement.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, William Lee Belfield; four daughters - Vaniah Marie, Olivia Khristine, Azariah Annell, Victoria-Gabrielle Imani; her grandson Christian Immanuel; her sisters, Diane and Yvonne; her sister-in-law, Lisa; her nephews, Donavan, Dwayne, Steven, and Cleveland; her nieces-in-law, Kelly, Zakiyyah and Ann; her nieces, Akylah Tahira, Aaliyah, Shakira, Taylor, and Casey, and a host of other relatives and friends.
