Life Story: Annie Clay Perry

Annie Clay Perry was born September 22, 1959, to the late Willie James Brooks Sr. and Richardine Brooks. Annie departed this life on October 21, 2024. She was educated in the Philadelphia, Pa. School District and raised in North Philadelphia with her two brothers, Anthony (Tony) Brooks and Willie Brooks Jr. Annie was blessed with for children; Sons, Jeremiah Gaines, Hayward Gaines IV, Joshua Ronaldo Gaines and daughter Rochelle Anna Gaines. Annie accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She was a God-fearing person who loved to show how much she loved God. If you needed to find her, she was in God's house. Annie was apart of the "Brooks Family" singers that was founded in 1980 at Miracle Temple. They were a highly anointed Gospel Group. When the power fell upon her during her dance ministry, she needed extra room to praise God and you "got out of her way" Annie was introduced to Fernado by his cousin Pam Simmons-Suarez at a health and wellness fair given by Deliverance Evangelistic Church in 2009. They became inseparable and married September 30 th , 2014. Annie personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. Annie's memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing her. Annie's legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around her with her kindheartedness, generosity, extraordinary smile and unforgettable spirit. You can imagine what God said to her… "Well done my good and faithful servant".
