Obituary

"In His favor this is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. *Psalm 30:5

Anthony Brockington, Jr. was born on December 28, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He was the second born child of the late Anthony and Alfreda Brockington.

On September 5, 2025, Almighty God suddenly called Anthony Jr. back to Him...

Anthony, Jr. accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He was baptized at The Greater Saint Luke Church.  There he sang with The Clark Specials Children's Choir.

He was affectionally known as "Man", "Tony" and "Brock" by those who loved and appreciated his kindness and humor.

"Man" attended The Philadelphia Public School System and graduated from The Parkway High School with honors in 1985.  He then attended Cheyney University where he studied computer science, electronics and engineering.  He later worked at various professional companies.  Tony always had plenty of money in his pockets and always drove a fancy car.  His passion was working with computers. He loved to sing and play classical music on the piano.  He studied taekwondo with his mother, Freda and earned a black belt in Karate.

In 2000...Tony met Mary Moses.  They were a happy couple.  From this romance on February 23, 2001, they produced Anton G. Brockington.  Anton was the love of Tony's life.  He often bragged about his intelligent handsome son.  He taught Anton and his niece, Gia how to creatively operate any computer.  Today, Anton is a Compuuter expert.

Tony was often called a "secret agent". You could not predict where or when he would show up for a visit.  He was very friendly with an adventurous life.  He was always laughing and found things funny when others were too serious.

We will remember "Tony" as a very, hardworking, generous human being who always spoke his mind.  He truly loved his family.  He was the best brother in the World.  His warm smile and laughter will always shine as a light in our hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Anton G. Brockington; three sisters: Trudy, Antionette, and Adrianne; two aunts: Charlotte and Cynthia; one uncle, Angelo; two nieces: Gia and Ettienne; one nephew: Joseph; one grandnephew: Gabrielle; a very dear friend: Renee; and a host of other relatives', cousins and friends.
