Obituary for David Lee Garner Jr.

David Lee Garner Jr. passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and

cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born to David Lee Garner Sr. & Geraldine (Gerry) Robinson - Garner on April 5th 1957 in

Philadelphia, Pa, David was a devoted son, loving family member, loyal friend, and a source of

strength and compassion to those around him. He approached life with determination,

generosity, and a warm sense of humor that brought comfort and joy to countless people.

David was a graduate of Germantown High School & attended Triumph Baptist Church where

he officially joined in 1985

David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, creating lasting memories through

everyday moments and special occasions alike. David was an avid music lover who always

played music LOUD and would be singing at the top of his lungs or walking around the

community dancing from wherever music was playing. David also worked as a mechanic & lawn

care specialist in both NiceTown & 8th & Diamond sections of philadelphia providing service to

whomever was in need of him. Whether he was pursuing his hobbies, helping others, or simply

sharing a conversation, he made everyone feel valued and welcome. His character was defined

by his integrity, resilience, and unwavering love for those closest to him.

He is survived by his wife Patrica Capps - Garner , his children DaShawn Brown & Latoya

Capps & his siblings Veronica Mickle, Sinclair Garner, Daymond Garner, Danille ( Lady )

Garner, Marilyn Dupree- Hughes, Daniel Garner. He is also survived by Alvina Brown ( Mother

of DaShawn), his grand children Dashana Williams -Bey, Dashawn Williams-Bey, Isaiah

Brown, Gabriel Burse, Dayon & Destiny Brown, Narvelle Fasier Nattale, Markelle Damier

Nattale, his Great Grand Children Isabella, Damier jr, Nina, Bianca & Zuryah, his nephews

Dajun, Akeen, Neamoubi, Sharyf , Salih, Corey, Galvester, Herb, Derek ( Mister), Daniel jr,

Dajun ( Lil Juan), Kai, Saddiq, His Nieces: Allyse, Tahisha ( Teddy ), Tyra , Ivory, Davida, Zoe

and lot’s more which includes extended family members , Tyleeshah “ Toddy” Mckenzie & more

dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

He was preceded in death by David L Garner Sr ( Father) , Geraldine Robinson-Garner

(Mother) & siblings Derrek Garner (Brother) & Gerry Grevious ( Sister)

Though David's physical presence is gone, his love, wisdom, and the countless lives he touched

will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration. He will be deeply missed and forever

remembered.
