Denise Life Story

At the lively age of 70, Denise Eva Chase passed away peacefully on Saturday June 27, 2026. She was born May 12, 1956 to James and Lillian Chase in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the middle child in the 5 Dynamic D’s proceeding in death David & Deborah Chase and leaving behind Diane Carter and Dean Chase.

She received her education in the Philadelphia school system where she graced the halls of William Penn High School. She went on to work in clerical positions where she used their computers for online shopping on her breaks.

She was blessed to give birth to her only child Ta-Shawnia D. Chase and experience life with a bonus daughter Senecca. She gave her heart to her grandchildren and her great grandchildren: Aiyanna, Na’Shay, Calvin, Isaiah, Austin, Britton, Kaden, Isaiah Jr, Laila, Kayonni, Syfir and Jacob. She enjoyed spending time with family, surrounding herself with her long time partner Jack, her bestfriend Jean, her nieces and nephews: Shawn, Tyrone, Bryant, Crystal, April and Amber and a host of friends and cousins.

Denise favorite things to do was shop and sit on her porch in a vibrant house coat and socialize with her family and neighbors. She was a pillar on Schiller Street, she spent decades on the block keeping the neighbors connected through block parties, street cleaning and summer play street. She was known for her witty lines like “Ohhh what a rush,” and “NOOOPPPEEEE.” You could catch her with her oldies blasting through the speaker as it sits in her porch window while she water her plants that consumed her porch. She was a lovely soul and she will forever be remembered in our hearts as Foxy.
