Donald "El Royce" Royster born February 15, 1944, departed this earth May 15, 2025. Donald was born and raised in Nicetown. He attended Central High School, where he earned the name "El Royce." While attending Central he entered in Track and Field. He attended Howard University and earned a B.S. Degree Electrical Engineering. He was a member of Omega PSI PHI Sigma Lota Chapter.

Don was a voracious reader and had a vast collection of books, he loved Jazz and listened to it daily. He enjoyed chess and won first place competitions in a few games.

Don employed at Bell Pacific, which became AT &T, he was a System Analyst Supervisor a position he held until retirement.
