Caleb James Satchell

Caleb James Satchell was born August 12, 1932, in Exmore, Virginia. He was the son of the late George Henry and Elizabeth

Joynes Satchell, and

one of eight siblings: Emily, Margret, George, Florence, Thomas,

Herman (Elliot), and Ernest Satchell.

Caleb and his brother, Thomas, went to public school in Northampton County, Virginia. They both finished high school and then attended electronics school for television and radio in Philadelphia, PA. Caleb completed his studies and served in the United States Air Force, from 1951 to 1954.  He was employed by RCA as a processing engineer for 35 years, after which, in 1991, he retired from RCA (Later became G.E.). In 1957, he married his wife Shirley Lowey Satchell, and they were happily married for over 65 years, until her passing in May,

2022. They had 2 sons, Craig and Gary Satchell. In 1993, Caleb and Shirley became members of the Yeadon Presbyterian Church, which became their second home. Caleb served on the board, became Dean, and made many contributions to the church over the years.

Caleb was extremely talented, and he enjoyed doing home projects. He took care of all the electronics, plumbing, carpentry, heating, gardening, automotive work, and more. He also enjoyed traveling, sports, fishing, music, reading the newspaper, and he

was always on top of current events.

He leaves behind two sons, Craig and Gary, two brothers, Elliott and Ernest, one sister-in-law, Elsa Satchell, one brother-in-law, Samuel Nottingham, and eight nieces and nephews.
