"My Lord, what a morning! "December 14, 1951, Gale Aletha Norris, affectionately known as "GYGNER", arrived to Odell Bartlett Sr. and Luretha Bartlett in Williamsburg, Virginia. On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom gently closed the eyes of our beloved Gale and placed her in eternal rest. She needed yet another flower for her garden so very quietly and peacefully He choose Gale as His adornment. Gale Aletha Norris was born on December 14, 1951 in Williamsburg Virginia the daughter of Odell Bartlett Sr. and devoted mother Luretha Bartlett. Gale was raised in Williamsburg Virginia and later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was affectionately known to her family and friends as "Gygner". In 1967, Gale met Samuel Norris and was later married in 1969 this union would bring forth one child Teresa Michelle Norris. In 1982, Gale moved to Camden, New Jersey where she caught William Eugene Davis's eye, this led to many dates and after he won her heart Brandon Karl Davis was born 1984. Loving and supporting a family became her first priority yet the call to service would once again resonate. Gale was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System where she graduated. A precocious child Gale excelled in almost everything she did. Full filling her long-life mission, Gale began foster children (10) while teaching for the Camden City School District until she retired. Her famous lines she always used was "I'M READY EDDIE; NOW EDDIE; LET'S GO EDDIE, and TRUST AND BELIEVE!
