Gregory Pittman Life story Gregory Nicholas Pittman was born on 11/1/1959 in Brooklyn, NY, to Nicholas Edward Pittman and Dorothy Pittman. He was the eldest of 3 born into that union. Greg attended public schools in Brookyln, NY where he graduated from Canarsie High in 1978. As a teenager, Greg enjoyed raising and training pigeons. He also loved Lionel Model train sets which he continued to love through adulthood. Upon graduating, he entered the United States Army where he served in active duty. In 1981, Greg married the mother of his children, Margie Ann Burroughs. Together they had 3 children. 1 son and 2 daughters. Together they traveled the world until he retired in 1993. In mid-year of 1993, Greg moved his family to Philadelphia, PA where he went into the Reserves and worked at CFCF as a C/O in the Philadelphia prison system. In 2002, Greg married his 2 nd wife, Barbara Ellis Pittman whom proceeds him in death. Greg was a handsome, brave and a hard-working man who would never take a break. He worked for Patriot Ambulance for 10 years and currently was employed by Safety First Ambulance. Greg loved spending time with family. He loved his children and grandchildren to death. He enjoyed visiting all his family in New York and North Carolina. He loved to have a good time and made it his priority to show up to every event when he could. He always had a smile on his face and knew how to put a smile on yours. Greg was truly a soldier and will truly be missed. Greg leaves to mourn his mother Dorothy Pittman, 1 brother Keith Pittman, 1 sister Beverly Pittman, 3 children Kevin Burroughs (Latisha), Yolanda Pittman, Latoya Pittman-Clowney (Quindelle), 2 stepsons Damen and Dorian, 10 grandchildren Yhari, Taniyah, Mariah, Emiyah, C'yani, Kevin Jr., Asiyah, Cynai, Dorian, Tywayne Jr.(his 2 bonus grands) 1 great grand Ava, 2 nephews Shawn and Keith Jr. (Dawn) 1 niece Nia Pittman and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
