Was born October 11, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Geraldine Hayes and the late James Darby.
At a young age Howard and his siblings were introduced to the Lord by his Aunt Willa Mae. Participating in biblical activities such as devotion, bible studies and singing on the choir.
He graduated from B.O.K Vocational School in South Philadelphia in 1970. His trade of interest was Auto Mechanics.
He entered the workforce at Sam Goody as a Truck Driver for 5+ years.
His most fulfilling career was at BJ's as a dedicated Forklift Operator for 31 years.
Howard was known by various names "Herc", "White Boy How", "Howard HowaWee-ah" & "Disco Will".
Howard loved having a good time, attending cabarets, events & shows. He had a profound love for cars, particularly "Pontiacs". His memory was unimaginable when it came to remembering a birthday, a name or even a number.
He had a contagious smile & a coordinating sense of style, topped off with a stylish hat.
Howard leaves to cherish his memory; proceeded in death his Grandmother Gladys, father James Darby and Aunt Willa Mae. Left to mourn is his mother Geraldine, son Vincent, daughter LaMonica & bonus son Richard. His siblings Barry, Karen, Sharon, Eric, Leslie & Beverly, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
