IZORA SMITH was born on September 27, 1934 to Frank & Bell Toler in Millersville, Georgia. Both parents preceded her in death. the family moved to Philadelphia in 1944. She was born first of two children. She's affectionately known to her family and friends as"MS. SHOT" IZORA attended John Wanamaker High School. IZORA SMITH married Raymond Smith on August 9, 1957. IZORA was a wonderful mother to Kevin and Kenneth Toler. Although not born to her, she raised Kevin Dennis Toler. An awesome grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She had such an extended group of adopted kids in the Germantown Area, helping and feeding the community. For over 20 years Izora would volunteer serve/clean at the Happy Hollow Playground. She enjoyed her extended family, she "FAITHFULLY" sat on Wayne Avenue, just to enjoy the company of her Wayne Avenue Family. She would always ask the entire Germantown Family for a "Doggy Bag" (that meant a bag of Goodies). She had so much wisdom and faith, she would always give you a little encouragement or laughter with her favorite quotes: "Keep On Moving And Don't Look Back"; "You Bumping Baby" most of all,"God IS Going To Bless You". IZORA moved to Germantown in 1960. She owned a Restaurant for over 45 years in the Germantown Community which she treasured so much. She was employed with the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) in 1991 and retired in 2001. IZORA favorite sport was basketball and her favorite team was the 76ers. She also enjoyed cooking, music and dancing. her favorite groups where Junior Walker and the All Stars, The Temptations and the Four Tops. IZORA changed her life around and joined the Belfield Congregation of the Jehovah Witness. She selflessly served as a regular Pioneer in the Jehovah Witness Organization. IZORA leaves to mourn her cherished memories: her brother, George Toler, her sister-in-law Martha Toler, her sons Kevin Toler, KennethToler, Daughter-n-law: (Linda Carter-Toler), two neices, Melissa and Michelle 18 grandchildren: Kelly, Kevin, Tommy, Michelle, Patsy, Darnell,Tonya, Ramika, Gianna, Niam, Isaiah, Kenny, Donta, Dakia, Derrick and Holland; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, cousins and friends. Special Friends William Keys, Augustus Hunt,preceded her in death; Robert West, preceded her in death
