Kayla K.
Arties
Jun 7, 2001 — May 9, 2026
Joy of Life
Kayla Arties was born on June 7, 2001, in Conshohocken,
Pennsylvania, to Imaette Udoh and Eugene Arties. She was the
oldest of four children and attended the Upper Merion School
District in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Kayla was a bright and determined young woman who excelled
academically and developed a deep love for writing. She was
actively involved in many activities throughout her childhood and
teenage years, including sports and ballet. Her creativity,
intelligence, and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone
who knew her.
Kayla had a special love for animals and found joy in caring for
them. She worked at several dog daycare centers throughout the
King of Prussia area, where she dedicated herself to the care and
training of dogs. Her passion for animals was evident in the love
she shared with her family dog, Neptune, who preceded her in
death in May 2025. She also cherished her beloved cats,
Marshmallow and Mieila, who brought her comfort and
companionship.
On May 9, 2026, Kayla departed this life, leaving behind a family
who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory. She
leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life: her mother,
Imaette McCollum; her father, Eugene Arties; her stepfather,
Patrick McCollum; her brother, Isa Arties; her sisters, Skylar
McCollum and Mariah McCollum; her grandmother, Geraldine
Joyner; her uncle, John W. Joyner; her aunt, Sherry D. Joyner; her
cousins, Nakirah Danderidge, Yassir and Najee Joyner; along with
a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Kayla’s beautiful spirit, love for animals, gentle heart, and creative
soul will never be forgotten. Though her time on earth was far too
short, the love and memories she shared will remain in the hearts of
all who knew and loved her forever.
