Kevin E. Young was born in South Philly and raised in Southwest Philly. He was the 6th child of 10 children born to the late Irvine E and Elizabeth L. Young. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System where he attended John Bartram High School. Kevin was a family man yet private man. He worked throughout the City of Philadelphia and Surrounding Suburbs in the field of building Maintenance. He enjoyed his work and would often bring home many Perks his job had to offer. Kevin enjoyed sports especially Football and Boxing. He would often indulge in conversation with friends as to who was going to win what game and move on to the Super Bowl or who would get knocked out in what round. Kevin enjoyed the outdoors; he would stay downtown and reminisce about how the good old days used to be in Center City. The friends he made in South and Southwest Philly and the work they put in throughout his life. Kevin will be missed by his family and friends. Kevin leaves to cherish his memories four children: Kyiff Cooper, Kyheim Cooper, Raheim Young and Charnae Cooper, several grandchildren, two brothers Darryl, Michael (Block) and Estelle (Butter)Young, several Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.
