IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lagenza
Junious
September 27, 1953 – July 15, 2024
The Life Story of Lagenza Junious
Lagenza Junious was born in Welch, West Virginia on September 27,1953 to the late Henry Sr. and Nella Junious. Lagenza was also known as Lake. Lagenza received his education in the Philadelphia School System. After graduating high school Lagenza went into the Marine Corp for three years. In 1979 he met the love of his life, his wife Pamaland Green; they spent the next 45 years together. Lagenza believed in God and would quote from the bible. One of his favorite scripture was Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. As a child he enjoyed going to Sunday breakfast with his brother and sisters at the local church. Lagenza was a hard working man. He worked for Wells Fargo as a security guard for several years until being promoted to a dispatcher. He worked as a dispatcher until he began to lose his eyesight. But, that did not stop him from being active. He joined two organizations: Social Service for the blind and the V.A. for the blind. Lagenza was a loving, giving man, a real friend, a motivator and he would help anyone he could. He knew how to encourage someone to be enthusiastic about what they wanted to do. He was passionate about his family. He would take his children on long walks to talk about life and being independent. He would say,"Do your best". He gave them all four choices when they finished school: go to college, get a trade, go to the military, or get a job. Lagenza loved his Philadelphia teams. He was very athletic. He played basketball, football, baseball for The Bucks and he enjoyed watching hockey. He would gather the children in the neighborhood and take them to the basketball games. Lagenza was preceded in death by his parents Henry Sr. and Nella Junious, sister Amelia, brothers George and Henry Jr., brother in-laws:Rufus and Ervin Green, and James Randolph, and grandson Jam'es Williams. Lagenza leaves to cherish his memories his wife Pamaland, his sons Donald, Jermaine, Shawn, and Lagenza, daughters Quanda and Laksha, brothers Robert, Carl, Anthony, sisters Freddie, Patricia, Donna, and Barbara. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, inlaws, nieces and nephews.
