A Time to Be Born Lisa Johnson, affectionately known as "Spicey", was born a twin on February 15, 1963 to the late Elner Dawkins and Hayes Lonnie Dawkins Jr. in Philadelphia, PA.

A Time to Be Educated Lisa was educated in the School District of Philadelphia graduating from The Murrell "Dobbins" Area Vocational Technical School in 1981. While at Dobbins, Lisa was involved in extracurricular activities which included cheerleading. She also became interested in the healthcare field and began preparing to become a nurse.

A Time to Work After graduating from high school, Lisa enlisted in the United States Army and served her country faithfully from 1982 until 1988 as a Medical Specialist IV. Serving in the Armed Forces afforded Lisa the opportunity to receive many awards and medals to include the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Army Good Conduct Medal. Her work in the military gives us a snapshot into where her passions were helping and serving people. Once she returned home, Lisa worked for the Laidlaw Bus Company as a Bus Operator where she enjoyed helping children just like her mother. She then became a Train Conductor for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) where passengers enjoyed and often complemented her loving personality, her infectious smile and her friendly demeanor. Her last and final career showcased one of Lisa's best qualities, caring for others. In 2007, she became a Home Health Nurse and received her CNA certification in 2010. Lisa was tasked and enjoyed taking care of those who were unable to care for themselves.

A Time to Plant Lisa was loved by everyone and was known as the life of the party. She also wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind but she made sure that you were ok and hugged you tightly afterwards. Offering years of dedicated service to the Fairhill Community, Lisa was an active and consistent volunteer. She devoted her off time assisting her mother at the Center. Additionally, she organized and formed a dance group, The Fairhill High Steppers, which traveled to perform and won a championship. Her contributions will forever be recognized and written in the history books of Fairhill.

A Time to Sleep On February 6, 2021, Lisa entered into her eternal sleep where she was embraced by all those who went before her. Waiting to greet her were her mother, Elner Dawkins, and her only brother, Lonnie Dawkins, who preceded her in death. Lisa was a daughter, a sister, a cousin, and a friend. However, none of those could compare to the joy she experienced when she became a mother and a grandmother. Lisa was named "Madonna" by her granddaughter which is such a befitting title because Lisa had to be fancy.

A Time to Mourn Left to cherish her memories are: her father, Hayes Lonnie Dawkins; her son, Jovan Cureton; her granddaughter, Myanna J. Cureton; her twin sister, Laurie Duffy; her baby sister, Latte Dawkins; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
