IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louis Philocles
Casimir
October 1, 1946 – February 3, 2023
Louis Philocles Casimir was born on October 1, 1946, in Port-au-Prince Haiti where he spent all his childhood and young adult years, to his late mother, Pelina Francoes Casimir and father, Louis Charles Casimir. Louis P. Casimir later met the love of his life Irma Dieudonne Casimir and moved to New York City for a small time, before relocating to Philadelphia where they were married and began their journey of life. With the support of his wife and family, Louis began his career as a janitor at 2 Liberty Place for over twenty-five years before retiring. As much as Louis enjoyed working hard, it was spending time with the family at large that brought him the most joy. One of his favorite gatherings was the annual family reunion in Middletown, New York where everyone came together to do just what he loved the most; have fun, laugh, and enjoy the moment. Through all the health challenges Louis faced, he did not allow it to break his spirit. He remained very independent and self-motivated, and continued to smile and enjoy family through it all. Louis enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like driving to his favorite thrift store also known as (ti-mache), relaxing in the car listening to his favorite music or watching his favorite television shows like, Wrestling, The Three Stooges or a good ole Haitian program. Louis P. Casimir was a man with strong family values. He leaves to cherish his memories, His Wife: Irma Dieudonne Casimir, Four Daughters: Dieula Nelson, Diane Casimir, Jasmine Casimir, and Louise Lucy Casimir Deneus, Nine Grandchildren: Josette Nelson-Magruder, Tracey Pierre-Johnson, Naomi, Alexandria, Johnathan, Elizabeth and Peterson Pierre, Aaliyah and Sophia Deneus. Nine Great Grands: Namiyah, Aubrei, Araya, Kamari, Zuri, Noelani, Tegan, Rayon, & Alex.
Sisters: Denise Azemar & family, Marie Lerouge & family. Brothers: Fritz Toto Casimir & family, Alix Casimir and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
