Margaret V Brabham Life Story

Margaret V. Brabham affectionately known as Sissy was born in Chester Pa. to the late Ross and Mary Holland. Margaret was the fourth of nine children. By age twelve, Margaret had survived a tragic fire which took the lives of her grandmother and four younger siblings. After months of hospitalization, therapy and much prayer, Margaret emerged with an indomitable spirit that would carry her for the rest of her life. She was educated in the Chester County School system until her family migrated to New York where she continued her education at Mary McLeod Bethune school and the New York Fashion Institute which laid the foundation for her skills as a seamstress. Margaret was united in Holy matrimony to the late Charles F. Brabham. To this union God Blessed them with four children Carl(deceased), Ralph(deceased),Russell(deceased), and Charlene. For the next several decades, Margaret worked diligently in her roles as wife and mother until she retired as a distinguished employee of the Philadelphia School District. Margaret joined Harold O. Davis Memorial Baptist Church/UCC under the pastorate of the late Bishop Kermit L. Newkirk, where she was a faithful contributor to the work of ministry. She continued to serve under the leadership of Rev. William J. Scott lll until the Lord called her home March 21, 2026. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughter, Rev. Charlene, care giver, sister-girl and friend, eight grandchildren, a quiver full of great grands and a host of relatives and friends. Prayerfully Submitted Charlene Brabham
