Queen Alicia Josma, affectionately known by her loved ones as Yayou, was born on December 15 th , 1930, in Jeremy, Haiti to parents Clara Belfort and Elicio Josma. Yayou spent her years in Haiti going to school and working hard to raise her children. She had three daughters Carole, Marie Solange Morpeau who passed away in 1999, and Beatrice. Yayou immigrated to the United States in 1986 and lived in New York with her daughter Marie Solange. After the sudden passing of her daughter, she continued to live with her son in law Erick and lovingly cared for her grandchildren. In 2001, she moved to Philly to be near her son-in-law and her grandchildren and lived there until her final moments. In 2003, her son-in-law remarried a lovely woman named Chrisvie who loved and cared for grandma until the very end. Queen Alicia has unfortunately outlived some of her children and grandchildren, namely her daughter Marie Solange Morpeau and her grand daughter Marise Josma. She is survived by her daughters Carole and Beatrice. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law Erick and Chrisvie Delisme and her son-in-law Evans Cothiere. Yayou will forever live in her grandchildren's hearts namely Wilmine, Katiana, Kevin, Djemimar, Alex, Christelle, Ricky, Dashny, Keyshawn, Prosberly Sukaina, Gilbert, Barbara, Caroline, Salomon. There are many other people that will remember the lively, wonderful woman Yayou was including her 16 great grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews, her church family and her friends and acquaintances. The family would like to thank each and everyone of you here today. Whether you are present today, whether you came by the house, whether you sent a plate, whether you made a phone call of encouragement, whether you helped plan or whether you just thought of us during this challenging time, the family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and support.
