IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Beverly
Wilson
May 15, 1937 – March 22, 2024
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
2Timothy 4
Mary Beverly Wilson who was known as "Granny" was born on May 15th, 1937 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Frances Easter and Woodrow Wilson Mary was the eldest of 3 children Robert and Fredrick Wilson(who preceded her in death)
Mary moved to Philadelphia in 1960.
Mary loved the Lord and was a faithful servant at St Michael's Luthern Church. Mary was mild mannered, meek and soft spoken. Granny would be sure to write you a note if she didn't wanna hurt your feelings lol. She was known for her kindness, but was more than a loving homemaker. With gifted hands who loved to garden her plants and flowers. Mary was known for wearing her house coats always.
Her mind was sharp for she remembered everybody's birthday because, her Heart was her Family. If she opened her doors to you, it was her way of saying welcome to the family. She was always in the kitchen cooking every Sunday Thanksgiving and Christmas for her family. It makes you wonder if she even had time for herself. Granny was a survivor of breast cancer. She was determined, defiant, strong, fearless, and a cancer butt-kicker. A survivor she was. She lived an unselfish life and gave more than she took from anybody. She was a mother who deserved to be honored, a wonderful wife, Grandmother and a friend everybody wished they had. God blessed her with 86 years of His grace, favor, mercy and irresistible love which she shared with others. There are no words to express the impact that she left on anyone she came into contact with. Mary is survived by her children, Marcella, Kevin(who preceded her in death)(Denise), Annette(who preceded her in death), Beverly(Dwaine), Robin,
Todd (who proceded her in death)..Her grandchildren Kanika (Rodney), Nakima, Gabrielle, Khaleef (Daisy), Dominic Dale(who proceded her in death) Sharif, Dare, Chantel,Shavon, Markeeta, Daja, Kayla ,Isabel. A special friend Mary Davis, who was like a sister to her, and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
