Mitchell Edward Campbell was born on March 21, 1959 to the late Edward and Alberta

Campbell in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was one of four siblings and a fraternal twin

to his brother Michael. Mitchell, who was affectionately called Mitch, received his

education in the Pennsylvania School System at Southern High School.

Throughout his life, Mitchell was a hardworking individual. He held positions with

several organizations throughout his career, which included Magnetics Printing

Company, aerospace company Boeing, and various temporary lead dishwasher roles in

the restaurant industry. He took great pride in his work and in the meaningful

connections and relationships he built along the way.

Mitchell had an infectious smile, a huge heart filled with love for all, and a true spirit of

adventure. He lived a full life, on his terms, the way he wanted to, and never looked

back. He was very out-spoken, sure of himself, and always left a lasting impression on

all those he encountered and was always the life of the party.

He also took great pride in his appearance and was obsessed with his youth and

staying young. Mitchell loved getting dressed, looking clean and sharp, and making sure

he was put together from head to toe. How he presented himself mattered, and he

enjoyed taking time to look his best. And then there was his love of cheese and chicken-

a simple but memorable part of his personality that those who knew him will always

smile about. He could appreciate a good meal, but if there was cheese or chicken

involved, even better! These little things may seem simple, but they are often the details

that make someone unforgettable.

He loved taking long car rides, listening to and singing music, and dancing. Whether

while doing one of his favorite hobbies- cleaning or just in the kitchen, he sang and

moved through the world with grace, and rhythm. Even in his roughest times, these

things were what got him through. Now, he is dancing among the stars, free and at

peace.

He was preceded in death by his mother Alberta Lee Campbell, father Edward Eugene

Campbell, great-grandmother Bertha Lee Giles, brother Benjamin Campbell, and niece

Vanessa Campbell. He is survived by two siblings: twin brother Michael Campbell and

sister Nya Keys, bonus sister Roxanne Woods, children, Dawud Morris and Shaniya

Holloway, Grandson Ausar Mamman-Morris, nieces Niya Keys, Janay Keys, and

Lashawn Slaughter, nephew Marvin Woods, great-nieces Shakiyla Spencer, Sharon

Spencer, and Sharah Spencer, great-nephews Semaj Spencer, Cyfir Spencer, and

Shamar Campbell, loving friend Dorothy Benson, bonus son Jamir Benson, and a host

of extended family and friends.
