Affectionately known as “Rudy,” he was the youngest son of ten siblings.Rudolph received his early education at Thomas Shields Elementary School and later graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Mount Vernon, New York. During his teenage years, he enjoyed playing football with his friends, creating memories that would stay with him for a lifetime.Around 1968, Rudolph relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he resided with his sister, Marion Powell, who loved him dearly. They shared a special bond and built a life rooted in hard work and community. He was admired by many in his community, especially the young men he inspired and encouraged along the way.Rudolph had a joyful spirit and was known as a jokester who could make anyone laugh—a gift he carried with him throughout his life. His favorite saying, “Yeah boy!” became his signature expression, one that family and friends will always remember. He had a deep love for his family, enjoyed watching sports—especially cheering for the Dallas Cowboys—and took pleasure in simple things like a cold Mountain Dew and a good cheesesteak. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Sherrod, and his sister, Barbara Ann Sherrod.Rudolph leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings: Spencer M. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.Rudolph was a man with a good heart, a warm smile, and a laugh that brought comfort to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.Until we meet again, Rudy—We love you.“Yeah boy!!!”
