IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Russell Jay
Brabham
November 26, 1954 – December 21, 2022
Family and friends near and far loved Russell dearly, but God loved him more. With His infinite wisdom and divine love, He took Russell home to be with Him. Russell Jay Brabham affectionately known as "Russ Love "and "Lollipop" was born in New York City on November 26, 1954, to the late Charles Brabham, and Margaret Brabham. Russell and his family migrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania shortly after his birth. He was preceded in death by his siblings Carl and Ralph. Russell completed his formal education in the Philadelphia Public School System. Upon the completion of his high school training program, Russell worked in the food service industry for over twenty years. Throughout his life, Russell proved to be hardworking, dependable, and easy-going. Russell loved music and dancing. He especially enjoyed attending concerts at the Robin Hood Dell East during the summer with his sister Charlene. Russell was a football fanatic; the Pittsburgh Steelers were his favorite team. During the pandemic, Russell fell in love with the Los Angeles Lakers and admired LeBron James for his skills on the court. Russell joined Harold O. Davis Memorial Baptist, UCC now known as House of Faith Baptist Church, UCC under the pastorate of the late Bishop Kermit L. Newkirk, Jr. He faithfully served as an usher for eleven years and sang on the choir. Russell also worked diligently worked as a volunteer janitor at the church. He was truly blessed with a heart for helping and congeniality. Russell leaves to cherish and honor his memory: his mother Margaret, his sister minister Charlene, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Lovingly Submitted, The Family
