On February 18, 2020 God's Angel reached down and cradled into his arms Sharlise Whiting. Sharlise, one of four children was born on September 7, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA. to the late Leon Moor Sr. and Tina Whiting. Sharlise was educated in the Philadelphia School System. She held several jobs until she landed her dream job as a Philadelphia Correctional Officer. She worked for 10 years until she was injured on the job, and no longer could perform her duties, which allotted her more time to devote to her many grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing scrabble and watching old cowboy movies.

Sharlise was a loving Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece, Friend, and most of all a devoted Mother. She always went the extra mile to help anyone in need. Everyone always knew where they stood with her. She liked you, or she didn't, it was black or white. As her children we are still trying to figure out which one it was for us, ( LOL we knew she loved us ). She was a master cook in the kitchen, but most important she lived for life, day by day until her time on this earth. On February 18, 2020, Sharlies became the Angel that she always was. Today we acknowledge her strengths and how she overcame the many obstacles in her life.

Her memory is carried on by  Husband Derek, her Siblings Leon, Michael, Edwina (Winnie), and Yvette. Two loving Aunts, Delores, and Hortance. Her three children, Nicole (Shannon), Brandi (Leblair), and Jarrad. Her Fifteen Grandchildren, three Godchildren who she loved like her own, and a Host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and Best friend Pamela Staggs.
