Sheila Brown was born on May 29, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA, through the union of Willie and Natalie Brown. Sheila was the 5th born out of 10 children and at the age of 3 months her family moved to Detroit, Michigan. While living in Detroit, Sheila attended Longfellow Elementary School, Foch Middle School and graduated from Mackenzie High School.
In 1973, Sheila met Peter Jones and from that relationship she brought into this world 4 beautiful children: Latrina, Craig, Patricia, and Felicia.
In 1983, Sheila met Lawrence Oliver, Sr whom was the love of her life, whom she married in 1984. Out of that union she brought into this world 2 beautiful children: Shanikwa and Lawrence "Fatman" Jr.
In 1992, Sheila moved to Philadelphia where she became a Dental Assistant before transitioning to a job driving buses. While working full time, she graduated from Manna Bible College with a Master's in Theology. At the time of her death, she was employed with the School District of Philadelphia as a bus driver. While living in Philadelphia, Sheila continued to work and raise her family.
After her arrival in 1992, Sheila became a member of The House of Faith Baptist Church (Harold O Davis Memorial Baptist Church) where she served on the
Deacon ministry, Nurse, Mass Choir, Sunday School, and VBS. She enjoyed singing in the church choir.
On September 18, 2023, Sheila was called home, and she is survived by her mother Natalie and 7 siblings: Wayne, Betty Ann, Jacquelyn, Veronica, Roger, Marilyn, Hiram, 12 grandchildren, Radiyah, Quamir, Shyheim, Jahsir, Trishon, Marlon, Trishelle, Miran, Tristan, Brennyn, Bralynn, Mackenzie, and 1 great-grandson, True, a host of nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Felicia.
