IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tawfiqah R.
Al-Muakhkhir
October 9, 1949 – May 15, 2024
Tawfiqah was educated through the Philadelphia School System. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Temple University College of Philadelphia. Tawfiqah received her Master's Degree in Social Work.
Tawfiqah worked at Intercommunity Action Inc. (INTERAC) doing Social Work. After two years of working at Intercommunity Action Inc, Tawfiqah became ill.
Even though she had declining health, she always pushed through. If you knew Tawfiqah, you knew nothing could hold her back from doing what she loved to do. She was strong welled, dedicated and driven.
Her greatest achievement were her daughter, son in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking, weaving, reading, writing and enjoying life.
Towards the end of her illness, she relocated to Delaware with her daughter, son in law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although her health was declining, she never complained. She still continued to enjoy life, family, laughter and good food.
Tawfiqah will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother Ellis Gholson, her daughter Aliya Edwards, son in law Tracy Edwards (4) Grandchildren Tracy, Maliya, Tristan and Malaya. (2) Great Grandchildren Mason and Myles. (1) Niece, (3) Nephews and a host of family and friends.
