IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas
Belcher
November 20, 1949 – August 2, 2024
The Life Story of Thomas Belcher
Thomas was born in Philadelphia Pa on November 20 th , 1948 to the late Leroy and Annie Ryans. Thomas was known as Peter/Pete. He received his education in the Philadelphia school system. Pete got his nickname from his late uncle Albert who nick named every family member for a specific reason. Pete had a great hand with drawing anything you gave him. He was also an excellent painter. Which is what he did until his boss retired. He was a diligent worker. He loved to draw. He even drew pictures for his nieces for their school projects to receive an A+ grade. The teacher knew they didn't do it because they never drew like that in class until project time.
At times Pete was a jokester. Some of his favorite lines was "what goes up must come down" and Bibbly Boppity Boo". In his younger years he did a little two step while playing tricks on people. Pete also had a bike that he rode everywhere. He made sure he kept a sharp two-wheeler bike to get around. He didn't care how far the destination was he knew he was getting there on his bike. Pete also loved to watch his western shows.
Pete leaves to cherish his warm memories: his brother Baron, a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Annie and Leroy, three sisters Mary, Lillian, and Angelina, five brothers Michael, Matthew, Leon, Joseph, and Augustine. A niece that was more like their sister Angelina "Jinky" four nephews Derrick, Michael, Leon, and Otis. Two sisters in laws Amelia and Linda.
