Dorian Silva Obituary

Dorian Drew Silva was born to Barbara Ellis-Pittman and Juan Silva. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 16, 1982 at Hahnemann Hospital. On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Dorian grasped the hands of his mother, took his last breath and was returned to Allah.

Dorian was educated in the Philadelphia School District.  He later received his GED from Glenn Mills at the young age of 16.  He later became employed as a Home Health Aide for Public Partnership as a caregiver for his mother.

Dorian was affectionately known by his family as “Nink” and friends as “Neph” or “Nephew.”  He had the biggest smile, so big, that it would light up an entire room.  He was always well spoken and able to articulate himself. Dorian was very kind, gentle, humorous and very laid back.  He was particular about his appearance, always neat and always well put together. He loved wearing vibrant colors and his footwear was always fresh.  Dorian was well known, highly respected and most importantly, loved by everyone that he encountered.

One of Dorian’s greatest loves was for his family and friends. He had a special adoration for his beloved mother.  After her passing, Dorian continued to admire her by expressing his never-ending love. He would also share the void in his heart for her and the emotional toll that her loss has taken.  Dorian spoke very highly of his big brother Dameon whom he would often seek out for advice, support and encouragement. No matter the situation, Dorian knew, if “nobody” had him, Dame did!

Dorian was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ellis-Pittman and stepfather, Gregory Pittman. Dorian leaves to cherish his memories, 2 sons, his first born, Dorian, better known as Khyri and Tywayne Jr., an extraordinary brother, Dameon, 3 step siblings, Kevin, Yolanda and Latoya, his father, Juan Silva, maternal grandmother Bobbi Owens, paternal grandmother, Modesta Morales, 1 grandson whom he adored, Zion, 5 additional brothers, Tito, Angel, Daniel, Gregory and Juan (whom is no longer with us), 2 sisters, Caprice and Marisol, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins (a very special cousin, Quashime), his Hunting Park family and too many friends to name that Dorian truly loved and will always be remembered by. He also leaves and will be greatly missed by his special companion, Melissa Crespo, stepson, Ashton and mother in love, Gloria.
