Dorothy Wiechert Obituary

Dorthy Thersa Wiechert Valles was a caring and loving person that combined herself as a marine, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend who left this world suddenly on March 2nd, 20201.

She was born to Mary Anne Hanley and James Wiechert on July 11th in 1956 in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dottie, as she was affectionately known, was also a twin. Despite a troubling upbringing, Dottie successfully graduated from Bensalem High School and honorably answered a higher calling and joined the U.S. Marines. Her calling changed when she was blessed with mothering two children Josh and Michelle. Dorthy’s love expanded when she and her loving husband Larry Valles blended their families together and welcomed Nicole, Amanda, Laurence, and Michael.

When you think of Dorthy, Mother of Scars, Dottie, Momma Dot or Lottie Dottie, one may start to dance. She was a vivid vessel of light and life anywhere she traveled. She loved adventure and all was done in love. Everything that Dottie did was out of love. Her unwavering love and faith for God was a true reflection of who she was. From her parenting and strong love for her children to her undying love and loyalty to her friends, Dotties love was unmeasurable and withstood the test of time. Her life was her family and if she considered you a friend, you were family.

Her loving husband Larry received his wings four years before Dottie and together they are survived by their loving children Josh, Michelle, Nicole, Amanda, Laurence and Michael. Loving step-children Jason, Michael, Iris, Melissa and Karla. Loving grandchildren Brianna (her angel), Tyrese, Savannah, Tymire, William, Emily, Zyla, Amare`, and last but not least her baby and sidekick Molly.

Sorrowly and regrettably submitted from the family.
