Gwendolyn Warren-German affectionately known as “Gwen” was born on September 27,1960 to the late Gary Warren Sr. and Shirley V. Warren in Philadelphia, PA. Gwendolyn Warren-German passed away on May 30, 2023.
Gwen received her education in the Philadelphia Public School System. She graduated from William Penn High School. Gwen held various house keeping jobs throughout her life. She was employed at Temple University, Einstein Hospital, and the Hilton Hotel. Gwen displayed affection and was committed to providing for her children and grandchildren.
Gwen enjoyed hosting cookouts and parties to entertain her family and friends. She loved doing line dancing. Gwen enjoyed listening to the Isley Brothers and The Whispers. She was a very neat and clean person. She was always cleaning. Gwen would cuss and fuss when someone made her mad. She loved to go shopping, she was a fashionista. Gwen was affectionately known as “Blacky” by her nieces and nephews. Gwen loved her husband, children, and grandchildren with all of her heart.
Gwendolyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Billy, Alice (mother in law), her children Jamel and Sharif, her grandchildren Ashley, Jenna, Jayanna and Malic, her sisters Shirley, Paulette (Kevin), and Mona (Richard), (sisters in law) Joyce and Diane, (brothers in law) Larry, Jerry and Darren, her uncle Robert, her aunt Doroth, her 6 nieces, and her 5 nephews. And a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. One special niece Tamika. One special friend Joyce.
Gwendolyn will be reunited with her son’s Fletcher Jr. and Jacque. Her sister Rochelle, her brother Gary Jr. and her niece Kimika.
