Jacqueline life’s story
Jacqueline Rogers was born on August 5,1955 in Dublin County, North Carolina to the late Franklin and Pearlina Rogers.
Jacqueline was educated through the Philadelphia School system, and she went on to a trade school to become a surgical technician.
Jacqueline worked for many years as a residential counselor for people returning back to society after incarceration.
Jacky always had a special way to reach people She worked for Ameri-Corps Vista as a literacy teacher for underprivileged children in urban communities. She surely knew how to make you feel special.
Jacky as we all called her, was also a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. Yes, she knew and loved the Lord.
Other than god, family was the most important aspect in her life.
Jacky’s health began to fail her and she was not able to do the things she loved to do anymore. She loved to cook( in fact, she was the best cook in our family), watch movies, go to the casino, and do puzzles, but most of all she liked spending time with her grandchildren. Unfortunately, her fight came to an end on June 11, 2023.
Jacky, you will truly be missed.
Jacky leaves to cherish her memory two sisters Virginia Simmons & Gwendolyn Young-El, two brothers James Rogers & Randy Rogers, two sons Tyrone Rogers & Mungai Campbell, two daughters Zulema Campbell & Rita Rogers, 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and a host of Neice’s nephews, cousins and friends.
