Kenneth Mills Obituary

Kenneth Darnell Mills was born in Los Angeles, California on March 3rd, 1968 to the late Donna Ward and Kenneth Andrew Mills. Kenneth was also known as Kenny, Ken, Kenny Diamonds, Kenny Mack, & Pretty Kenny. Kenny retired his gloves on May 4th, 2021, and was called home to Glory.

Kenny moved to Philadelphia with his father at the age of 3. Kenny was raised by his father and late grandmother, Florence Torrance, whom he loved dearly.

Kenny attended Scotland School for Veterans Children. Kenny was also educated in the Philadelphia Public School System, where he received his High School Diploma.

Kenny worked various jobs once he graduated, but he found his passion in Barbering. Kenny followed his dream and became a licensed Barber. His skill, dedication, and loving spirit led him to open his own Barber Shop known as “Extremely Sharp”. Kenny’s entrepreneurship led him to Real Estate where he began purchasing properties and found himself the owner of multiple properties. Kenny also worked at Nicole M. Bartlett Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc., as the Barber, and Hearse Driver, until his final day.

Kenny’s interests were Boxing, Fashion, and surprising those he loved with gifts. You could find Kenny in the VIP section at any Boxing match. He was known from the West Coast to the East Coast, and was Welcomed at any Event. Kenny had an extravagant taste for excellence, he was a Show Stopper, from his mixed drinks, Gucci shoes, diamonds, Bentley, and furs. Kenny’s latest discovery was the love of cooking. He was famous for his Crème brulee French toast.

Kenny was able to enjoy this life with his pride and joy, Son Brian Wright, and Daughter Kennise Mills. His children were the  love of his life. Kenny was able to share his boxing interest with Brian at a young age, in hopes of Brian becoming a boxer one day. When it came to his baby girl, there was nothing he wouldn’t do. When you saw Kenny, Kennise wasn’t too far behind. He introduce Kennise to the finer things in life. Kenny wanted Kennise to experience the best in life, because that’s what he wanted for himself. Kenny was very protective of Kennise so he introduced her to karate so she would be able to protect herself, in his absence. Kennise shared an interest in Ballot, so Kenny made sure she also attended dance school.

Throughout Kenny’s time here, he taught his children how to be aware of wolfs dressed in sheep clothing . Kenny was a Loving, Protector, and an amazing friend.

Kenny leaves to cherish his memories, son Brian Wright, daughter Kennise Mills, the Lattimor family, the Roscoe family, his Goddaughter Kylie Bartlett, Godson Darren Bartlett Jr. and a host of family and friends.
