Leah Bradley Obituary

Leah Bradley was the daughter of Irene Middleton and Nathaniel Middleton. Leah was born on October 6, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in various areas of Philadelphia including North Philadelphia and Germantown. In the Mount Airy section of Philadelphia, she settled down with her groom John Charles Bradley who she married on August 30, 1958. They went on to raise seven children together, and now have seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Leah Bradley is a born-again Christian. She received Jesus Christ as her personal savior in the year 2008. She enjoyed attending church services at Brand New Life Christian Center and listening to gospel music. Leah was a kind and caring person. She had a heart of gold. She was the type of person who would give her last if you needed it. She loved to laugh, reminisce on good times raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas holiday. She would always say “I’m going to get my house fixed up and invite all my children and grandchildren over for the holiday.” She was extremely fond of her children and they meant everything to her.

Leah was educated in the public school system and she attended West Philadelphia High School. Leah worked at the Department of Revenue as a Cashier Clerk for over 20 years. She retired in 2006. She enjoyed family gatherings, dining out, traveling, and yard sale shopping. You could never keep her away from a good yard sale. Once she found out there was a yard sale she had to go, she was always hoping to find some good deals. She also enjoyed reading health articles and watching her favorite television show, such as Home Shopping Network, Food Network, and CNN.

Leah passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on September 15, 2022, was predeceased by son-Michael Bradley, step-son Stanley Bradley, daughter-Karen Bradley, daughter-Sheila Bradley, grand-daughter Unique Underwood, ex-husband John Charles Bradley, and brother-in-law James Edward Bradley.
