Life is filled with many mysteries and it is not meant for one to understand
everything, however there is a wideness in God’s mercy like the wideness of the
seas. There is a kindness in his grace that will last throughout eternity.
Shaniyah Unique Ford-Hayes, “NaNa” as she was affectionately
called by her family and friends was born on June 23, 2003, in Philadelphia,
PA at Parkview Hospital to Jamell Hayes. And the late Dauwn Ford.
Shaniyah was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. She
attended Harrison Elementary, Paul L. Dunbar Middle School, and Dobbins
Technical High School. Where she obtained her high school diploma. At
Dobbins, Shaniyah majored in cosmetology as well
as being a part of the basketball team. She also enjoyed playing softball.
Shaniyah at a young age strived to be the best basketball player, as well as
doing hair. She was very creative and enjoyed arts and craft projects. She
enjoyed wearing beautiful clothing and dressing in red (her favorite color).
Most of all she really, really loved being a beautician. She loved wearing
different hair styles and hair colors, wigs, nails, and make-up, eyelashes, etc.
Shaniyah always wanted to look her best. She had a way of putting a smile
on all her clients faces.
Shaniyah will be missed by all who knew her.
Shaniyah was a loving daughter, granddaughter sister, and friend, and will
be missed by all. Proceeding her in death is her mother Dauwn Ford, uncle
