Terrance Holmes was born on July 27, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ricard Antrom and Fannie
Holmes.
Terrance affectionately know as Terry accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Calvery
Baptist Church.
Terry received his education in the Philadelphia Public School System. He graduated from Benjamin
Franklin High School. He continued his education in the nursing field. He received his certification as an
CNA.
Terry was fun-loving and family oriented. Terry would show up to family and friends gathering with a
health appetite and his won set of take out bowls. He loved good food especially the crust of baked
macaroni and cheese. He often said this was the best part of the dish. He was often the last person to
leave as he was the clean up crew.
Terry enjoyed playing tennis, swimming, and his collection of classic board games. Every Thursday you
could find Terry playing Mahjong with his friends.
Terry was a very caring person which led him to a career as a CNA. He spend most of his working career
for other at Einstein, Willow Crest Nursing Home, Cheltenham Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Dear
Meadows Nursing Home, where he was referred to as a gentle giant by many of its residents.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother Troy Holmes.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his beloved mother, Fannie Holmes, siblings, Curtis,
Patricia, Phyllis, Altermease and Ty, brother in law, Ricky, Vincent and James, Sister in law, Theresa. A
host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family of Terry would like to acknowledge his bonus brother Rick Alston and his work and Mahjong for their love and friendship of Terry.
