Terri Shavon Rogers was born March 19, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pa to Gwendolyn Young-El and the late Russell B. Dennis. Terri departed this life on Sunday May 14, 2023. She was educated in the School District of Philadelphia. Although she did not graduate traditionally, she later went on to earn her GED. Terri was a very unique person and loved by everyone she came in contact with. She was affectionately known as Butta Ball and Pooh.
Terri had various jobs but took pride in being a member of Showtime Truck Club. While at any gathering you would hear Terri say, "What time is it?" And the response would always be, "Showtime". Terri was a very creative person, full of life and had many talents. She was a force to be reckoned with and a go getter. She loved listening to music; R&B and Hip Hop and dancing. Terri was very comical person and loved joking around with her family & friends. She loved to be in the lime light taking pictures.
Terri had a special bond with her daughter; Shiah, and loved spending time with her being silly going Live on Facebook. Terri had a passion for doing hair. She inspired her sister; Latavia, and her daughter to do wig caps, braids, sew-ins and much more.
Although Terri struggled all of her life because of the choices she made, she still knew that God was watching over her. Terri will surely be missed by many but will not be forgotten.
Terri is proceded in death by her father, Russell B. Dennis, maternal grandparents; Pearlina Rogers and Franklin Rogers, paternal grandparents; Evelyn Dennis and Michael Dennis, and uncle; Marshall Dennis.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter; Shiah Ronyae Lane, mother; Gwendolyn Young-El, two sisters; Tameka Dennis and Latavia Rogers, two brothers; Russell Dennis (Terrene), Daniel J. Williams (Latasha). Two uncles; James Rogers (Netty) and Randy Rogers (Karen), Six aunts; Virginia Simmons, Jacqueline Rogers, Rubymae Sanders, Olliemae Dinkins, Catherine Wilson, Willie Diane Sanders (Calvin Sr.). Nine nieces; Nakia, Breana, Patrice, Markira, Danielle, Saria, Asia and Janiaya. Six nephews; Johnny (Aunties Puddin Pie), Brandon, Nasir, Daniel Jr., Russell, and Karter. Terri leaves to cherish a host of many cousins and long-time friend; Ronald Lane special adopted Aunt; Sarah Stevenson, Godmother; Laura Howell and Half-sister; Karon Calhoun (Nigel).
