Timeeka Sharnita Trawick was born on a brisk early summer morning on June 28, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pa., to Leisha Thompson and Roscoe Lane III. The oldest child in her family, Meeka aka Sunshine and known to her mother and grandmother as “Squeeky Meeky” was born at 6:48 am and weighing in at 6 pounds and 2 ounces.
Growing up Meeka loved to play board games with her family and reading fiction novels that allowed her to travel through distant galaxies. Timeeka was a lover of good food. She loved all kinds of food and depending on the day of the week her favorite food choices would change quickly.
On August 29, 1990, Timeeka gave birth to one of her greatest accomplishment, Edward Blake Jr. He reminded her of the peace and joy in this world. His smile gave her hope and brightened up many of her days. Edward gave Timeeka a reason and a purpose to continue moving forward in her education and many successes through out her life.
Timeeka’s renewed strength and new superpower motherhood, allowed her to graduate from Martin Luther King High School in 1992. Reading was her favorite subject. She loved learning about Greek Mythology. During the years afterwards Meeka earned several certifications and even received a ministry license. In 2001, despite the challenges in the economy, she became a homeowner and ensured stability for her and her son.
Sporting her trademark red hair, fancy nails, high heels, and bubbling personality. Timeeka realized that she had a love for people and good times prompting her to quickly become one of the best bartenders around. There was no one in her path that could resist her rays of sunshine and her goodness. She had an ability to make everyone feel like they were family and belonged.
Timeeka was preceded by her sister Tianna Thompson and her grandparents Mae Davis, Edith Bowen, Hosley Trawick, Roscoe Lane II, and Cliff Bowen. Also her beloved cat Reverend.
